Sarah Scott

My Story

Sarah Scott is a Country Music Alberta (CMAB) award-winning and nominated Radio DJ and Podcaster (CMAB "Industry Person of the Year," 2020) currently working with Stingray at Real Country 95.9FM in Lloydminster. She also founded, hosts and produces music business education and artists spotlight podcasts under the umbrella name, Studio B Podcast (One to Watch Wednesday/HomeMade in Alberta/Studio B Music Business Education/Summer Sessions) and sits on the CMAB Board of Directors.

Sarah loves all genres of music - and artists at all levels, but her passion lies in supporting and consulting for emerging and independent artists. With over 13 years experience in radio, the music industry and in communications and copywriting, she's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the in's and out's of radio, press kits, interview prep and how to stand out as an artist. She participated in Canada's Music Incubator (CMI) Artist Management program ('21) and earned a Bachelor of Communication Studies from University of Calgary ('13) and a Broadcast News Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) ('11).

Sarah continues to work with independent and emerging musical artists of all genres to help them understand the world of radio and media. In a time where in most cases, radio play feels like a luxury, she helps artists (and industry) break down that barrier, help them find their fit and take advantage of the radio stations, TV stations and media outlets that will take notice of their work at the different levels or singles of their career. Sarah helps artists with their communication and presentation, EPKs and press kits, and shares knowledge about radio trackers (and tracking), and supports them with various industry resources so that they feel confident and comfortable approaching PDs, MDs or on-air personalities (or any media).

She helps artists grow networks, tighten relationships, and build new ones.
